Beaded Embroidery with Abby Weeden

In this two-hour workshop taught by Abby Weeden, participants will explore beginner-friendly embroidery techniques while creating a handmade felt ornament featuring a radial design.

 The class will introduce several decorative stitching methods using thread, beads, and sequins, along with instructions on sewing a clean blanket stitch, stuffing your ornament with polyfill, and attaching a ribbon hanger for display.

While the class covers the fundamentals step by step, basic familiarity with using a needle and thread will help participants work more quickly. Because embroidery is a detailed, time-intensive process, some students may not complete their ornament during the session; however, all necessary materials will be provided so you can finish your project at home.
